We currently do not accept documents saved in .pages format. If you are a Mac user, you can use Pages to produce your written work but you will need to convert the file from .pages to .docx.
Before you convert your Pages document you can make your work anonymous for blind-marking by following these steps.
- With your Pages document open, go to Preferences. (On an iPad tap on the icon).
- Choose General. (On an iPad choose Settings).
- Go to Author Field. (On an iPad go to Author Name)
- In the Author Name box type ‘anonymous’.
Now convert your document, as follows.
- Open your file in Pages.
- Compress any images if necessary (see Compressing images to reduce file size).
- Click File. (On an iPad tap on the document name at the top of the page).
- Click Export to (or Export on an iPad).
- Choose Word.
Follow the on-screen instructions to save the file in an accessible place on your system. The file is now ready to be uploaded and submitted for marking.
