Contribute to discussion forums using an iPad

In 2015, Moodle introduced a new editor which makes contributing to forums with an iPad much more straight forward than it was. However, the following may be useful if you want to write your post in a word processor or notepad first and then copy and paste the text into the forum post editor.

Copying and pasting text

To copy and paste text from your iPad to a forum post you may find the Apple support pages useful.

Uploading a file as an attachment to a forum post

To add a document to a post as an attachment click on Advanced at the bottom of the Message box. At the top of the Attachment box click on the image of a piece of paper with one corner turned down  and use the file picker to find your file by clicking on Choose file (or Browse). If you’re using an iPad without the Files App (iPads bought before 2017) you may find Using an iPad to upload files useful.
